Haircut

Walt got a haircut on Wednesday, so now he's not pushing it out of his eyes (which I'm sure that he appreciates). I know that it still looks kind of long, but it's definitely better. As you can also see, his eye is getting much better.

Walt must love being at the Listening Center in his classroom. (check out his black eye! He fell at school yesterday.)

Opening Day/Night

Well, for some reason, Walt's school chose October 2nd as "Cardinal Day". I don't know what significance today has to the Cardinals this season, but it just so happens to be the Blues opening night (day if you take into account that the Blues start this season in Sweeden). Anyway, his school promoted the wearing of Cardinal gear to school. You can see that many of the kids are wearing red - Walt wore his under his sweater.....

In the picture with all of his schoolmates, they're looking at a butterfly that they saw go through the stages of metamorphosis. They're about to release a butterfly that they collected as a caterpillar about a week ago. Even at this early age, you can see that he enjoys learning....

I've also added this year's image to what I'll call the "Opening Night Collage". This may be the last year that Walt is able to wear this sweater. Who knows, the Blues 3rd sweater may be on tap for next season's Opening Night.

Sara has also posted a video from tonight. We had a lot of fun with Walt today, and he's been a very good man (and he knows his hockey allegiances). In the video he's pretty cute....

there are times...

I don't tend to get very "emotional" here on the blog. I know that most people that come on, are just looking for pictures of walt. But something happened tonight, that took Bob's and my breath away. Walt has known his first name for a while, but tonight he learned a little more. We are just so lucky....
