Gavin and Walt

BFF to be.....

Baptism

Walt was Baptized on Sunday April 20. It was a really wonderful celebration. At our church, St. Vincent DePaul they do a personal mass for the baby to be baptized. We processed in at the beginning and then Jessica (the godmother) and the 3 of us went up to the alter to be blessed. Walt was eating his tie the entire time. The priest thought it was so funny.

Then after the homily we had his actual baptism. He was so cute, he was down to his diaper, and was eating his toes! He loves water so he just smiled. Then I had to run and change him into his gown. The gown he was wearing has been in the Ginther family for 100 years this year. It was worn by my dad's uncle Milton in 1908.

Walt was so tired by the end of the Mass, he fell asleep when we got home and slept for his entire party.

These are some pictures that Diane took for us.

Down to Cape!

Walt and Bob had a great trip down to Cape for Saturday and Sunday. Sara went up to Chicago to see our friends Cari and Tim sing solos with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (big time!). Nanny, Poppie, Baxter, and Aunt Jennifer took really good care of both boys this weekend.
Walt got to meet Bruno, Nanny's new puppy. I guess they were fast friends. I am surprised that Walt didn't try to eat Bruno :)
Walt still just has the 2 front bottom teeth, although they are too short to photograph, and he seems to be somewhat shy about showing them.
He loves to eat, so far we have not found a food that he does not like. :)

Busy Busy

Well, we can't believe that it is already April 8! The month is going quickly. Last weekend my parents came into town from Des Moines. My choir sang the National Anthem at the Cardinals game. So Walt went to his first game and the Cardinals won! Walt slept through innings 3-6, Aunt Jessica's arms got a little tired.

He has been such a good boy! (like always!)
