crawling?!?!

Well not quite yet, but he does seem very interested in moving to get things to put into his mouth (surprise!). He moves his legs, arms, and butt just not in the right sequence.
I got him trying to move the other day. Enjoy my blair witch video!

Walt has also been sleeping like a dream. He has always cried when we have put him down for naps and at night, but last week I gave him this super soft blanket one night when I was putting him down to bed and he just grabbed it and went right to sleep- no crying! Ever since that fateful night he has gone down for every nap and night sleep without a peep. Thank goodness for Sandy- she gave us that wonderful blankie. I will try to catch him sleeping with the blanket in a picture for the future.

can u do this????

so walt is already at that age where "everything" goes into his mouth and that includes his leather shoes. :)

What is funny about this picture is that when he would start eating his shoe and I would raise the camera to take the picture he would put his legs down. What a smart guy.

Bob has had a high fever and bad cold for the past 5 days and walt and I have been suffering through head colds. Frankly it seems to bother walt the least of all of us.

I will post pictures of my niece's baptism once I find my card reader.

Trip to Chicago

It was so much easier to update the blog on a more regular basis when i was not back to work. I am trying to keep up with it, but the nights go back faster than I would like. I am sure all of you that are parents understand. Bob and I were just talking that it seems when we finally have a minute it is 9pm.

Walt had his 4 month check-up on Friday. He is 12 lbs and 9oz and is almost 25" long. So he is a long skinny guy. The Doctor said that he is doing great. He had 4 shots and was a trooper. I think that he thought if he didn't cry a lot he would get a cookie, but I had to break the news to him that the cookies are only for the big boys and girls.

Right after his appointment we headed up to Chicago for a quick weekend. Our friends Amanda and Chris are having a baby in Feb, so I was hosting a shower for them. We stayed with Jamie and Liz in the city Friday and then after the shower on Saturday we headed up to Lake Zurich to celebrate Grant's second birthday.

Walt did an awesome job both on the road and in Chicago. Everyone was excited to see him (as they should be) :) He is really trying to roll over from his back to his stomach. As soon as he does we will post a new video.

Enjoy some pics!

Happy New Year

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Year! We had our first overnight away from Walt on New Year's Eve. We went over to Nik and Kelly's and played games and had some "adult" fun. Nanny and Poppie (and Baxter) were nice enough to come up and watch Walt for us. What was funny was, I think that we got less sleep because we stayed up so late than we would have if we would have had Walt. :)

This past Sunday we celebrated Christmas with the Wichards. We had a fun time. Walt got a lot of great toys, some for now and some for a few months from now. He is really getting interactive. He loves to look at toys, grab them and then send them straight to his mouth! Oh, it has begun.

Enjoy some new pictures of the past week.
