Cari, Raym, and Penelope came to visit! YEA! We had an amazing weekend together. I didn't get any pictures of the kids together, but here are 2 of penelope! Love her.

last couple days

Walt helps me water the flowers most morning. He loves being outside. We also went to a park that has a great water feature, he ran around and around.
On Saturday he put on Bob's shoes and stared at the window, it just so happened that is when the mail carrier came up to our porch, she just laughed and laughed. :)
The picture of him and the pack and play is funny because he is napping in the kitchen because our upstairs air conditioning broke. He is a flexible sleeper- that is for sure.

HOT

St Louis is in the middle of a heat wave, we have had 7 straight days of over 90 degree weather, with the heat index at or above 100 everyday! Bob got walt his own pool for the backyard. We took the cool slide that Peggy gave us and had some fun this evening.

Happy Father's Day!

Walt celebrated with Poppie in the morning and then we went to our favorite bbq restaurant (which we have gone to every father's day). Here are some pictures from Sunday! Walt did love the pigs that were all over 17th Street Bar and Grill.

Walt is staying with Diane and Wally for a couple days with his cousin Baxter. Walt looks like he and Bruno had some fun trying to wake up Baxter. (it looks like Baxter enjoyed the wake up as well!)

Aunt Jennifer gets Married!

The family traveled south to be witness to a small ceremony at the Scott County Courthouse. It was great. Walt dressed up a little in a coat he borrowed from Gavin. The ceremony was quick, but Walt did shout out some things like, DORA!, ISA!, BOOTS! Do you think that he is watching too much Dora?!?!

First Circus!

Walt and I experienced our first time to the circus together today. There is a circus that is native to St Louis, it sets up and performs every june each year. It is called Circus Flora. It is a small one ring circus. On Wednesdays they have an hour kids show in the morning. We attended today. Walt loved the horses and the trapeze artists. I enjoyed it as well. I look forward to this being an annual event. Although he does not look interested in the picture, he was smiling pretty good in the tent!

lunch and home

Today was our final day of our trip to Des moines. We had a great time. It was fun to spend some time just with Grandma and Papa and then get some time with Victoria as well.
We were fortunate today that Grandma's cousin Ted and his wife Kathy were driving through so we had lunch with them. They had their dog with them. Walt and Victoria loved getting licked! And then we tried to get a good picture with Grandma and Papa but it is tricky with a 1 and 2 year old. :)

Well my dad had a mini-golf outing for his service group so we went! Walt was interested for about the 1st hole in actual golf and then he just ran around a looked at the water and rocks. By the 12th hole he quit and went to have some of PaPa's great hot dogs! We played today with cousin Victoria and cousin Ava even stopped by for a little bit. Tonight at dinner Victoria and Walt enjoyed a cupcake. Victoria had the frosting, Walt ate the entire cake!!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Walt and I traveled all day to Des Moines to see the Ginthers! We got here just in time for pizza group. Today is also my dad/papa's birthday. Walt sung a little to him. We will be here until Sunday posting our adventures from Iowa.

Playgroup at the zoo

We went with my school's playgroup to the zoo. Walt loved the inanimate animals at the carousel. We saw (but didn't touch) the stingrays. And saw 4 elephants! WOW! I think that it wore him out. (he fell asleep on the way home and took a 3+ hour nap) The picture of him asleep in the car, check out those eyelashes!
