After spending the weekend gloating to our Chicago friends that we didn't have any snow on the ground, fate exacted its revenge in the form of 8 inches over the course of 36 hours. Not that we're complaining - we've been pretty lucky weather-wise so far this year. Well, this winter storm has allowed us some additional family/Walt time. The past two days, Mommy's had snow-days, so it's been non-stop Walt and Mommy. It's been fun, and it turns out that crayons are delicious....
Here are some pictures and a video of Walt playing in the snow:
It's funny, we just posted a video of Walt talking, and one thing that I've noticed is that he groups uses the same word for two opposite meanings. For example, up will mean both up and down. If you notice, at the end of the video, he says that the snow is hot. Hot means both hot and cold to Walt....

Talking
Walt's been talking quite a bit, and we wanted to capture some of that in a video for everyone to see (or hear):
These are just some of the words that he says regularly. It's a pretty good Walt medley. We've been keeping a running list on our bulletin board, and it's been kind of tough to keep up with his progress.

Weekend in Chicago
I have not posted in almost 10 days because Walt was down and out with a sinus infection for about a week. Luckily the medicine really perked him up and he is doing great. We went up to Chicago for Cari and Raym's daughter's baptism. I was honored to be the Godmother. I don't have any pictures from the baptism because I was busy and Bob was hanging with WAlt. But I do have pictures from a get together with the girls at Cari's house. It is amazing that 4 years ago none of us had kids and now all of us do!

Some pictures of Wichard Christmas
Diane sent me a couple pictures from our Christmas 2 weeks ago. I love baxter and walt! And then I look a little crazy at the park. But we did have a great weather weekend. I included another picture of what I see from Walt a lot these days. He is really big into the word and response of the word "UP!"

He claps, he claps
So clapping is something that I think most 15 month old kids can do, but Walt has always rejected clapping, he does not like us even to try to get him to clap. But Diane (aka Nanny) got him a super loud and "fun" singing reindeer and out of the blue is clapping along to "Sleigh Ride". I almost cried it was so cute and just funny!
