Thursday night routine

So we live just down the street from an amazing deli, and I mean right down the street- it is about 6 houses away. In the past 2 years we have become good friends with the owner Vince. He is an amazing guy that sells delicious food. He is open late (until 8pm) on Thursday and he has live Blues Music. So we have been taking Walt and his bumbo and going down for an hour or so. Walt enjoys the music and watching the ceiling fans.

I love the H2O

Walt just loves the water. We discovered bubble bath. The first thing that he did was scoop up a bunch of the bubbles and eat them! He just loves to eat anything and everything. We couldn't resist sharing these bathtime pictures.

Daddy turns 33!

Yesterday (5/13) Bob turned 33 years young. We had a great day planned for Daddy. Walt got Bob a bucket full of car cleaning supplies for his new car. Right after Bob got home we took off to pick up some yummy BBQ. Then it was off to the history museum for Twilight Tuesdays. Every Tuesday for 8 weeks they have a free outdoor concert. Last night it was a band that played some Blues and some rock and roll. Even though the weather was not great (it sprinkled a little bit on us) we really enjoyed ourselves.

Walt has been in swimming class for the past few weeks and we have forgotten our camera, so here are some pictures of the b-day boy and walt! He LOVES the swimming class by the way!

Party with Friends

On Saturday we had about 25 people over and now a lot of our friends have kids so Walt shared his space and toys with his friends.

Diane and Wally came up for the weekend to take care of Walt on Friday night and then to come to our party on Saturday night.

Walt is almost crawling he scoots and twists and rolls to get to what he wants. We think that He may be working on some new teeth, he has began to droll A LOT again.

He is also talking a lot. He grunts and squeals.

He tried an avacado tonight and really enjoyed it (Bob was shocked!)

Walt is a sittin' guy

Some babies sit at 6months old, some later. Walt was one of the later. He now loves to sit. He especially likes to sit and play with his (very annoying- thanks Grandpa) pattycake bear. Truthfully, I want to hate the pattycake bear, but it is fun to play with. Especially when you see Walt's face light up when the bear starts singing.

We were out on a walk the other day and I caught Walt in a wild daydream about his future. In case you didn't know it already, we live very close to a giant "bakery" (as Kathryn puts it), although this bakery bakes beer.

I wonder what Walt was thinking.......

More Gavin and Walt!

We went over to Nik and Kelly's this weekend to watch the NFL draft. I know we are football geeks! Gavin and Walt both took long afternoon naps, but when they were up, they were loving on each other a little! Gavin was giving quite the love to Walt! Gavin also loved to tease Walt with toys that Walt wanted. Gavin thought it was very funny, Walt was unsure of this method of playing. Gavin is now 20 months and lil Walt is 7 months.
